this problem is inherent to nebulous "left" groups w/o a code of conduct or set school of study. the desperation to meet people where they're at goes hand-in-hand with allowing misogynists, racists, transphobes, and other bigots to organize alongside the people they harm

Just to clear this up-- I was speaking specifically about the people who the far-right is trying to tie to the Dayton shooter, not the left as a whole. I'd wholeheartedly agree that the left in general has a misogyny problem we need to take seriously.
