Reminder that connecting the Jewish community as a whole to sex crimes was literally a staple of Nazi Germany’s Der Stürmer. These guys are little more clever— Der Stürmer frequently invented theirs, while Epstein’s crimes are real— but it’s the same antisemitic trick.https://twitter.com/DavidFutrelle/status/1148977685756022784 …

nazis use 'zionist' as a stand-in for 'jews' so we should condemn all anti zionists then right? This is such a reach and as a jew myself this makes me roll my eyes

So how do we reference the elites, the actual elites, in a non-anti-Semitic way? Because the actual elite upper class is absolutely destroying this country. The rich are poisoning the wells for the working class.
-
So why not just say “rich people”? There’s no reason to use a dogwhistle here.

I know anti-semites use "globalists" all the time, wasn't aware "elites" had that connotation. Is establishment a better term? Also, I agree that no one should spread conspiracy theories. I think he was playing off them as a joke which is still problematic

Just clarify who you’re talking about, I think? Specificity never hurt anyone, lol.

All sorts of subcultures have their own argots. Should everyone stop talking about pizza because Qanon thinks it's a stand-in for child abuse? Also, when you call a joke about a non-Jewish person is antisemitic, you're getting into Meghan McCain territory
