i’ll calm down when “leftists” stop acting like antisemitism is a joke and stop spreading propaganda identical to what fascists who murder jews, POC, women and queer people espouse.

It’s not a joke when we’re seeing a new rising tide of fascism and overt antisemitism. This is what casual antisemitism looks like. When someone invoked antisemitic conspiracy theories— either knowingly, or not caring enough to know— that’s antisemitism.

Making a comparison to an alien looking mofo "harvesting us like cattle" is not antisemitic

“Lizard people” conspiracy theories have long been an antisemitic dog whistle. You can read more about it here. https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/culture/2018/12/20/18146628/alice-walker-david-icke-anti-semitic-new-york-times …

If you were intentionally dogwhistling by saying (((lizard people))) I would buy the connection. But parodying Icke by satirically referencing "the lizard people" is not at all antisemitic - I'd argue it flys in the face of Icke, it's parody of his ethos.

I don't believe it was ironic. I don't think Matt understood that "lizard people" was a code word. Up until 15 minutes ago neither did I

Again, he referenced FOUR separate antisemitic tropes. That’s not an accident. If you’re going to be an apologist for his casual antisemitism, you have to account for that.
