And I *love* seeing this covered, but I think I'd disagree with the idea that this is new or maybe even increasing? It's always been there in the same volume-- Milo outing trans students in his college tour, Gavin McInnes telling his followers to "choke a tr*nny," etc.

We see the same dogwhistles, dehumanizations, and invocations of deviance and criminality, etc. applied to trans people by the alt-right that we saw applied to Jews by Der Sturmer. This bathroom rhetoric about "keeping our kids safe" is just the Blood Libel for a new generation.
My only disagreement here is in calling these folks "TERFs." Gavin McInnes is a straight-up, old-school bigot. TERFs are people who cloaks their transphobia in feminism.
