      Also, in all seriousness, I get that he was trying to express solidarity with the Palestinians, but that “follow the money” shit is 100% antisemitic because it plays on the same antisemitic conspiracy— that Israel controls the US— that I hear from literal neo-Nazis.

      The larger point is that even if he didn’t know that it was an alt-right meme, he was still comfortable implying that Israel controls the US with vast sums of money, which is an antisemitic trope, and that US leftists should bag on Israel without invoking conspiracy theories.
