      Also, in all seriousness, I get that he was trying to express solidarity with the Palestinians, but that “follow the money” shit is 100% antisemitic because it plays on the same antisemitic conspiracy— that Israel controls the US— that I hear from literal neo-Nazis.

      I disagree. While I am absolutely aware of Jewish Banker conspiracy filth, "follow the money" is the phrase attributed to deepthroat in the Watergate scandal. I don't think he's anti-semitic I think he just chose his words poorly

      That was literally an alt-right meme he mistook for a criticism Israel’s settler-colonialism. The meme posits that Israel secretly controls the US— by paying off Congress— rather than the US’ support for Israel being part of our imperial foreign policy.

      Yes, but even when Netanyahu goes to address Congress against Obama’s wishes, that’s only because Netanyahu was embraced by House Republicans. Hawks embrace Israel as an excuse for our continued presence in the Middle East, not because Israel manipulated anything.

          It's not just the Middle East although that is the primary area of concern. Check Israel's record in Central America and there are other examples. We agree power rests in the US but to believe that Israel doesn't do everything it can to influence that power in naive
