Yes, and to anyone about to defend some really problematic stuff— coverups exist and you should ask about them!
Most artists are really happy to sit down and talk through your options w/r/t old tattoos. 
I don’t disagree but do you care to elaborate as to why? I can’t just tell them it’s problematic and they need to cover it without getting pushback lol
I usually tell people that the meaning isn’t apparent to anyone who sees it.
So all someone sees is a white person jacking some shit that isn’t theirs.
And that if they walk around looking like that, they’re going to alienate people, and no tattoo is worth that.
