trying to settle an argument: is it problematic to have a tattoo inspired by a work of art from a culture that isn’t your own because the artwork has sentimental value to you (where you were when you first saw it, who you saw it with, etc.)?

I don’t disagree but do you care to elaborate as to why? I can’t just tell them it’s problematic and they need to cover it without getting pushback lol

I usually tell people that the meaning isn’t apparent to anyone who sees it. So all someone sees is a white person jacking some shit that isn’t theirs. And that if they walk around looking like that, they’re going to alienate people, and no tattoo is worth that.

Tom Arnold: The day she (Roseanne) filed I started getting it removed because I knew that I would never have sex with ANYONE until I got that removed. 'It took a year and a half, but it was worth it.”
