      Exactly. I’d also argue that since it’s a) encrypted and b) subscriber-only, it would be pretty fundamentally wrong to force them to shut down their communications/“deplatform” them This is totally different to publishing content in pubic, for all to see

      I’m saying there’s a fundamental difference between people sending closed, private communications to each other than to posting publicly and using a platform to advertise hate.

      Telegram is a platform, and the groups are public and searchable. E.g. You can find Laura Loomer’s by typing “Loomer” into the search bar. But even if it wasn’t, why do you think privately organizing for genocide is better than publicly doing it?

      TBC: I support the deplatforming of hateful people from social media/tech sites because I believe the owners/operators of those sites have free speech rights that trump those of the people making the hateful speech. To ban companies from deplatforming would impinge on their FOS
