      I don’t feel that this is fair, Cher is caring and progressive. She’s not saying to not take care of immigrants, she’s pointing out that there are a lot of people who need to be taken care of. She’s a good person, she’s proven that.

      It’s a pretty common fascist talking point to pit disenfranchised people against some kind of foreign fifth column, which is exactly what Cher is doing here. It’s not a choice between caring for immigrants and caring for citizens. That’s just a fascist dog whistle.
