13/ The Proud Boys are planning to act as paramilitary agents for the state. This has clear analogs in 20th-century fascism. The Sturmabteilung (commonly known as "Brownshirts") and the MVSN ("Blackshirts") served as paramilitary forces for Hilter and Mussolini, respectively.
14/ Not only have the Proud Boys exposed themselves as not giving a fuck about the "free speech absolutism" they claim to defend-- they're quite fine with censorship happening to leftists-- but also as a vigilante gang threatening undocumented immigrants and blaming the media.
15/ As shown by this chat, the Proud Boys don't defend freedom of expression, but they do defend white nationalists like Identity Evropa, and open neo-Nazis like The Base and the Shieldwall Network. And not only that, but they've declared war on the media and immigrants.
16/ Going forward, there can be can be no waffling on what the Proud Boys actually are, and it's not a beer-drinking fraternity. They are a 21st-century fascist movement that has become a paramilitary operation.
17/ And we don't make deals with people who take hostages. Because if the Proud Boys take power, they'll attack immigrants anyway. That's what fascists do. And that's exactly why, as anti-fascists, we oppose them.
