3/ But antisemitism has always been passed through a veil of obfuscation in the United States. Willis Carto's Liberty Lobby simply changed their language. By changing "Jews" to "Zionists," they were able to skate on charges of antisemitism.
4/ In fact, Carto was invited on multiple occasions to testify before Congress. They were by no means a marginal group. That's how antisemitism goes mainstream. They just switch the language, and white gentiles give them a pass.
