And before anyone *really* fucking starts with me, remember this— abuse is fundamentally about power dynamics and isolation, two factors that are present in *every* step of this story. If you don’t get that, go back and read it again.

Ask yourself two questions: 1.) Is this an interaction between people with equal amounts of social capital? And; 2.) Is the tweeter being connected to a larger community, as we would expect in leftist organizing, or instead, are they being isolated by Dr Bones?

Unequal power dynamics and isolation are the hallmarks of abuse. We don’t always see what manipulation happens behind closed doors. But we can damn sure spot hierarchies and isolation. And we need to start calling that out.
