The Base is a group of armed Nazis hoping to commit acts of mass violence. A coast-to-coast anti-fascist network collaborated to infiltrate The Base and identify its members. Say hello to "Doomsayeth," aka Jerrod Matthew Elder, of Murrieta, California. https://eugeneantifa.noblogs.org/post/2018/12/03/the-base-jerod-matthew-elder/ …

They’re not LARPers. I definitely appreciate making fun of these guys, but we shouldn’t downplay the threat they pose. “Doomsayeth,” aka Jerod Elder, is a former Marine and current National Guard member. He’s trained to kill, and he’s planning to train them all to kill.

Look, I’m not a fan of the FBI and I normally wouldn’t even say something like this, but WHY THE FUCK aren’t they doing anything???

RAM's first attack was in March 25, 2017, when they appeared with an antisemitic banner at a Huntington Beach MAGA rally to attack counterprotesters. RAM members weren't arrested until October 2018, for their role in the violence at the first Unite the Right rally. 1/2

And the only reason they were charged was a federal investigation into the death of Heather Heyer. Law enforcement just ignores white nationalist organizing until they murder someone. We're trying to prevent that here.

at some level these groups want to be known as the baddest, most evil, strongest, etc. is our labeling as such emboldening them and helping create future groups? they seem to thrive on shock value much like copycat murders. theres not a good procedure in place to deal with them.

Yeah, you’re probably right about that. But I still think it’s important to recognize when the word applies.
