It's a "balk-right" network of white separatist paramilitaries hoping to balkanize the United States and divide it up into a series of white ethnostates.

2/ Their leader, "Norman Spear," claims to be ex-military, having served in Iraq and Afghanistan. His immediate goal? Communal training grounds across the world. 3/ The group plans to meet in California on January 11, to train in the paramilitary and survival skills needed to commit acts of mass violence and elude authorities in rural areas, with another training scheduled for the summer of 2019.

5/ These tactics have some precedent. Following the 1996 Centennial Olympic attack, and bombing two abortion clinics and a lesbian nightclub, Christian Identitarian Eric Rudolph spent more than five years as a fugitive living in the Pisgah National Forest.

7/ The main goal of the Base is to contribute to and support the acceleration of the destruction of the US government so that its members can create new, governing entities in regional, white-only ethnostates.

14/ The state won't protect us here. The police aren't investigating this, and neither is the military. Jerod Matthew Elder *is* an agent of the state, and thus far, the military has taken no interest in his membership in a hate group.
