THREAD: The Black Panthers always analyzed US politics through an anti-fascist lens. White people live in a liberal democracy. People of color exist in a fascist police state. And that's exactly what's happening at the border right now.
2) A group of largely Indigenous climate refugees are being treated like an invading force. The US government is firing tear gas at children.
3) While anti-fascists fight every day to prevent the creation of an ethnostate, the US government is violently trying to create and maintain one.
4) Fascism is the ultimate form of state power. One manifestation of that is the violently maintained control of border crossings. Exactly like we're seeing at the US/Mexico border right now.
5) This is the end result of having borders. Borders get us children being tear-gassed. This is why we fight for a world with no borders.
6) If you consider yourself left-of-center and still support national borders, please reconsider your position.
Defend people, not borders.
