"Police records appear to confirm earlier identifications that circulated online following the assault that reported Irv’s full name as Irvin Antillon."
Actually, it was @NYCAntifa that first ID'd Irvin-- and the other attackers-- over a week ago.

None of us do this for credit, but it's really frustrating to see great work by other anti-fascist activists go unacknowledged just because liberal orgs want to be the only game in town that fights hate.

And in a bigger sense, it's about moral credibility. When liberal orgs erase-- or outright steal, like the Southern Poverty Law Center just did from NoCARA-- from leftist affinity groups, it bolsters liberal credibility at the expense of ours. (1/2)

The issues is that (1) we then have to confront the idea that liberalism can defeat fascism, since leftists are written out of anti-fascist history, and (2) it leaves leftists in a weaker position to organize against capitalism once the fascists are gone. (But also, money!) $$$

Number 1 is such a major issue! We need to develop effective means to counter that narrative and the related "Just Vote" mindset. I have many
#TheResistance followers and I welcome them if they're willing to listen to what I have to say; it's about working outside our sandbox.1 reply 0 retweets 6 likes
100% agreed! I actually got on here to start building a broader base, encouraging the #resistance folks to do some direct action by calling a fash's boss to get them fired, and try to pull them a bit to the left.
