The issues is that (1) we then have to confront the idea that liberalism can defeat fascism, since leftists are written out of anti-fascist history, and (2) it leaves leftists in a weaker position to organize against capitalism once the fascists are gone. (But also, money!) $$$
Number 1 is such a major issue! We need to develop effective means to counter that narrative and the related "Just Vote" mindset. I have many #TheResistance followers and I welcome them if they're willing to listen to what I have to say; it's about working outside our sandbox.
100% agreed! I actually got on here to start building a broader base, encouraging the #resistance folks to do some direct action by calling a fash's boss to get them fired, and try to pull them a bit to the left.
Regarding Number 2, I know from experience that the level of competition for limited funding is fierce between large non-profits. Could some type of collective crowdfunding effort work for the left without creating the problems that always seem to arise when money is involved?
