Currently, public sub counts are abbreviated in most but not all places across YouTube. In August, we’ll make this more consistent by always showing abbreviated sub counts publicly. Creators: You’ll still see your full sub count in Studio! Learn more → http://yt.be/help/abbrev-count …pic.twitter.com/pmaKk4EU4k

What do you think would be enough to warrant it? I don't know, I just don't get why so many creators complain so frequently about how much YT screws them over and yet not once have I seen one take direct action and go for broke in supporting a new platform. It can go a long way.

Everyone always seems to just wait for a new platform to become viable on its own. And put simply, that's not how it works. It would require heavy support from multiple big players, and a lot of sacrifice. It really isn't impossible, they just need to be 100% dedicated.

That's the best advantage of being a monopoly. You can continually shaft your users w/out remorse because you know they have nowhere else to go.

Well I have hopes for this: https://youtu.be/FYGzUoKfgjE once twitch acually starts this, we just need to convince PewDiePie to switch over there, then everyone will follow, and YouTube will die

bitchute, dtube, peertube, vanillo. Just to name a few. the problem is that these sites' developers should unite to create one big and good site, with a layout that isn't just a nostalgia bait (like vidlii) nor some confusing bullshit. btw, BC is fairly safe if you skip politics
