The original Neanderthal were first presented to the scientific world in 1857, at a meeting in Bonn, Germany. At the time, the partial skull was considered human, it would be another 6 years before it was designated Homo neanderthalensis.

Bit late to the party, but I've finally finished watching What an emotional rollercoaster! Particularly liked hearing how some of the staff used to work at a testing facility, oh and the outtakes at the end!

You're never too old to do a PhD, if you want to do one then go for it. A PhD is a learning experience, you will learn a lot about yourself (& others) along the way. You are more than your age & you will contribute in ways no other person can because you are unique, embrace that.

If I were you, crash three more years and forget about it. Ensure in the 3 yrs, atleast publish two papers each. By 40, with your PhD, some papers in your name, career experience = Life starts at 40! Here cometh Asst. Prof. !

Is it ever too late to do a PhD? I've just finished an MPhil at 34, and want to take a couple of years before I embark on a PhD (largely so I can find the *perfect* one) Is this career suicide?

Why are all jobs, explicitly for graduates, in recruitment? In related news, does anyone know of any interesting jobs going in or around Bristol (not in recruitment)?

Walruses have absolutely massive penis bones, but these aren’t the largest in existence. An extinct species that lived 12,000 years ago possessed a baculum that was 4.5 feet in length.
