    Beyond just social networking, yields a tremendous amount of influence as the defacto single sign-on identity provider on the Internet. Think of how many apps require that you "Sign on with your Facebook account"

    Having read the full Termination of Employment section in the Sinclair employment contract, I still think the liquidated damages clause is preposterous.

    A lot of people are curious about this, so a former Sinclair journalist sent me a Sinclair contract. Here are the parts about quitting/getting fired. (See that clause about politics? It forbids employees from expressing their personal political views, but not their employer's.)

    Just a word of caution, .

    SEC’s Peikin: As we allege, the defendants relied on celebrity endorsements and social media to market their scheme. Endorsements and glossy marketing are no substitute for the SEC’s registration and disclosure reqs as well as diligence by investors.

    I just wrote in my data ethics chapter there’ll be two types of data companies: 1. those who extend GDPR protections globally 2. those who bifurcate codebases and policies because their business relies on data overreach & lax regulation. We just got FB’s answer.

    Facebook today—through the Zuckerborg himself—confirmed that they will not extend GDPR provisions worldwide. Americans and Canadians, served through Facebook US will continue to receive lower rights than all other residents of the globe. Bad choice, Z.
