Well said Anne but this dude is bullshit. Not stuff you blurt out and then just say "my bad". Sucks people have to endure this shit. The problem isn't just this dick, it's the others that just stood by and let it happen. Community as a whole has to resolve to not let this happen.
He was so close to actually learning something too - and I hope he does genuinely wanna get better, but signs in this apology kinda hint that he's just saving face. I agree, it is the same kind of non-apology we see every time some guy gets called out in public. I expect no change.
Appreciate that you were able to even give the guy the benefit of the doubt, and hopefully he actually does change his way of thinking and attitude towards women and people in general online
