I’ve had people ask me what they can do. My answer is this - the outreach and education component could happen throughout the year, especially before and during hunting season and targeted to hunters/outfitters/guides/RSA owners and retailers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

This should be done by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Police and Maryland Department of Agriculture. Could nonprofits play a role? The annual Waterfowl Festival could be one place to do this - it’s in epicenter of these poisonings and I believe

30 or more bald eagles have been killed by carobofuran on Maryland's Eastern Shore since 2009 (when the EPA banned carborfuran). While it is illegal to buy, sell or use carbofuran, it's not illegal to possess it.
