top morsels from The Terraformers:
1) the ERT handbook quotes!
2) referring to robot-robot hook-ups as "R4R"
3) future people finding a 23AndMe-esque data bank and calling it "scientific mythology" which people used to "tell their fortunes"
4) the minority concession mechanic!

the copy of The Terraformers by @Annaleen that I preordered *finally* arrived! I am only a few chapters in, but currently struggling with a very strong desire to
(a) pack it all in and become an Environmental Rescue Team ranger
(b) read an actual copy of the ERT Handbook

This was such a fun conversation about DnD!!!
I love hearing about 's campaigns.
And (not surprisingly) this was the best and most illuminating conversation I've had about PROMISES STRONGER THAN DARKNESS.

I love 's Terraformers so much, so much, that I am reading it only a few pages at a time. I don't want to leave this world. I don't want this book be over. I read a lot of SF and am a writer myself, but this book is special. Really special for me.

Love looking at the "views" counter on tweets because it always reminds me of how TEN years ago at Gawker Media we were told they had to remove view counters because they were so misleading and inaccurate that even our click-thirsty company wouldn't use them.
