    My 6th book is written. It is a little bold, quite confessional. I am so grateful to my risk-taking, and big hearted publishers . for the 3 book contract they have offered me, and for publishing my latest, now titled 'Feverfew' - due out next Spring.

    Another incredible cure for writers' block is - get a writing partner. A great deal of my 6th bk . was down to a poetry exchange with . - we sent each other triggers, fed-back on each others work. It was inspiring.

    poets - let's help Charlie out. My tips - write from art, music, pull a line at random from a book, from another poet, read, get angry, heartbroken, go for a walk, allow yourself to write rubbish, write prose, make yourself write every day for 1/2 hour..

    anyone got any tips for overcoming writer's block?

    The 34th & 35th poem from have been accepted for publication and I am so relieved they have found homes. I have certainly had some rejections along the way too! Keep submitting folks. These last two have been taken by - thankyou so much .

    I am feeling incredibly grateful as 32 of the poems from my 6th collection - . have been accepted for publication by lovely editors. And the 33rd has now been accepted by the wonderful Dream Catcher magazine. thank you . !

    I read the whole collection through once, sometimes there is a narrative arch to follow, then read it through again, then return to poems I love.But there's no right or wrong way.Except to go too fast, perhaps - like bolting down a meal.Thank you for a great question!

    I’ve been reading a lot of poetry lately. But how does everyone else do it? Out loud? A few at a time or do you read the whole book in one? And, most controversially I expect, in order, or poems selected randomly?
