I was involved with a man I met online for almost a year. I discovered his name and identity were fake and that he was a lawyer. The law needs to change.

    1. UK SAYS NO MORE‏ @UKSAYSNOMORE 11 Jan 2018

#Gaslighting is an impactful form of psychological abuse and coercive control. Be aware of the signs to look out for. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/stories-42460315 …

Thank you.Yes this is the kind of behaviour he displayed. It was low level like this.Yes all the women were intelligent but some were vulnerable too, like me from past relationships. We were all conscientious and empathetic and most wanting to be agreeable as it describes BUT 1/2

2/2-he was intentionally hiding his true identity & intentions on top of this to allow the deceit to happen unchecked as his whole motive was to enable the exploitation and abuse. The lovebombing, gas lighting & reverse psychology enabled him to manipulate us/keep us to his will

With your situation, would you say he displayed learned behaviour or do you think it was narcissism? Personally, I would not want to take professional advice from someone with such a warped moral compass.

From talking with many professionals about his behaviour, they explain him as narcissistic or psychopathic even. They have said he would feel sense of entitlement, no conscience/empathy and would have learned expected emotional responses to allow him in society as such. It fits.

I'm in unusual position of knowing his fake self & his true self,as portrayed by him-these were in essence the same in both 'humble, grounded, patient, caring' but of course exposing his deceit also unveiled the mask he portrayed in his real life.People with conscience don't do this

No, they don’t. A less scientific word to describe him is a head-f***. That sense of achievement from playing with people’s emotions/ responses. Similar to the sadistic enjoyment of pulling wings off insects or torturing animals. V. hard to believe people can be this callous.
