The CPS are so tight that they rarely investigate black and white cases with full evidence, especially with cases like rape. It is an absolute rarity that a case slips through that has been manipulated or like the recent rape case that was proved wrong, was police incompetence.

Of course we also have the minefield of the understanding of what is considered an average level of disgustingness. The disparity between society means that what is considered unacceptable by some is completely ok by others, and legislation errs on the side of things 1/2

catastrophic in certain areas before CPS will bother to put a case forward. Doesn't mean the victim is any less credible or that the perp isn't guilty because the actions don't reach a level worthy of them getting a 100% win to bolster their stats.
