Why is it so bloody hard to find a solicitor or barrister who are clued up on domestic abuse and will fight for their client and not just the pay cheque...and accept legal aid. Recommendations welcomed. We need a directory.

I’ve found self representation is the best way. Nobody can know my case inside out like I can and now I support other women who feel unable to attend court alone. Time to fight back
I did the same for family court (children not financial because not married) rather than domestic violence although there were elements of emotional abuse and control. I was successful and went to help 3 others prepare bundles to be LIPs which were successful. Barristers sulked.
