Headteacher announced I was leaving today, and the head of Maths just told everyone I am “too emotional” for leadership. Women trying to rise up into leadership face cultural and systemic hurdles, so it is disappointing to be part of a team of women who who don’t amplify women.

I have experienced similar with female AHTs. Women in the profession are far too ready to tear other women down. It’s a very toxic culture in teaching. Please don’t feel bad, you deserve your job xx
