While it's great news about #schoolmeals4summer, as a recipient of free school meal vouchers, I would like to point out that I currently have £150 of @Tesco vouchers from this scheme saved up. @MarcusRashford @BorisJohnson @Keir_Starmer @RachaelMaskell please read

Why? Because they can't be used online & I don't have a car. My only option is to walk the 45 mins to my nearest store & get a taxi back (which I did early in lockdown), or get a friend to shop for me which is very difficult as I won't know what is in stock/prices etc.

Why has it been done this way? - Why Tesco? Why not something that can be used at a variety of stores like Aldi, Lidl, Iceland, Asda, Morrisons etc? - Why can't they be used online? Most families in receipt of free school meals probably don't have cars. Not to mention lockdown.

I am lucky to have had help with money from my mum, and I have a credit card for the days between benefit payments, but I wonder how many vouchers are sitting there unused because of the restrictions on them?

Mine are to choose from a whole range of suoermarkets?

Someone else has said this, so possibly a school decision. I've been in contact with them about it already so gave them a nudge today.
