This really hit home. My experience of this is different but similar, and one many women (some men) face. I was accepting of my catfish. His guise was that of a humble grounded guy. I had no reason to disbelieve him. I met him in person. He cried in front of me. He wasn’t real.

I’ve grown up around mainly males. I’m the only girl of 5 older brothers. I’m normally a really really good judge of character but this one had me floored.
