The offer for the self-employed is outrageous. £94 a week of Universal Credit. I’ve lost all my work due to COVID-19, all of it. No income protection for us. I’m swinging between utter despair and disbelief. Please help us!!!

Last day for me today as well. Zero hours contracts as supply teachers. Had been working permanent supply 3 days a week this year but now gone due to school closures. How will this feature for benefits as a single mum?? Still need to be on call just incase but unlikely.

Just listening to the speech and they’ve said zero contract paid through PAYE might be covered. I’ve messaged to ask.

I’m still tax credits ( I’ve managed to avoid UC so far) so tricky again as most talk is aimed at UC not tax credit.
