Exactly this... there is absolutely no understanding in mainstream public of the effects and strength of the emotional manipulation they use. When you add to that past experiences causing vulnerability before they start on you it’s like being pulled into a swamp of confusion.

Spot on! Tbh, not everyone knows what NPD is and there is no better education than experience..unfortunately it's not something I wished to have learned by experience! The gaslighting is so insidious and wicked, I truly think they are rotten to the core.
