Six years ago I wrote a report of a woman’s a murder in forensic detail. The police said I was wrong and it wasn’t murder. Finally, after years of fighting by her family, every word of my report has been proved as accurate. Police now accept and have apologised to the family.

Wow, that’s really interesting. In many of my cases there is an inflexible view taken, not always police, coroners and others too. Even when it’s plainly wrong some people just double down and make it worse.
That echos the problem with the Bamber murders. The officer in charge was convinced he was correct with murder suicide and refused to accept other evidence that contradicted his view.
