Ignorance is bliss isn’t it? Trouble with far too many is they are uneducated in the reality of emotional manipulation. If you’ve ever bought a product from watching an advert or donated to charity it’s happened to you too. This is just on a bigger scale and plays on romance.

Buying an iphone is hardly the same as sending someone £25,000 you’ve never met ! I guess love really is bling

I appreciate it can seem like that but it’s the grooming and manipulation that takes place before any money is ever exchanged. Also technology allows for incredibly realistic and accurate looking documents they use to back up stories etc. Never judge others...

Come on, I appreciate your stance on not judging anyone and I feel sorry for those who’ve been conned. I just find it hard to understand how you can be duped into handing over thousands to someone you’ve never met. Different if they’ve been on a few dates.

1/ Unless it’s happened to you it’s hard to explain and understand the process you go through. These professional fraudsters use the same behaviour as narcissists, a proven technique to manipulate. Ours did the same almost but money wasn’t his motivation.

I’m honestly not having a go. Like you say, it’s probably hard to understand unless you’re a victim

Just watching the first episode and while your highlighting is excellent I’m disappointed to see you using Matt Peacock & Coffey as the campaigners for this.Their campaign fell flat and they used me and my petition numbers in a debate as their own failed.http://chng.it/Ztyc2LMr
