Marriage by itself has been seen as not effective to vitiate consent, the same goes for deception about wealth. But a judge has stated that all else should be looked at with a broad common sense approach. Issue surrounds lack of guidelines so ‘new’ behaviours r not being tested.
@cpsuk have until this case only been guided by current case law which means that new deceptions are not even being tried by juries as they don’t get to court. New behaviours MUST be tested as many abusers are walking without consequence.
