Don't they still have to pay the license fee?
My dad (83) suggested this, this afternoon. Luckily my parents could afford the licence unlike some others ( not that any of our senior citizens should have to) but I’ve got them onto Netflix. Much more choice. Both said they could happily do without it ( the BBC)

Strongly! against BBC making elderly pay for licence/having a TV. Should be on subscription. But I don't want to stop watching BBC progs. They do world class drama and documentaries. But think they are trolling me when BBC iPlayer emails with their 'recommendations' for me
