I wonder what they actually class as evidence? We’ve seen a written confession doesn’t even count in some cases here. It’s getting beyond pathetic.

Indeed. Perhaps we need a little public outrage/outcry? We have a few steps to take but once we’ve got the next stage of campaigning live (my bad), this shouldn’t be too hard to get people behind?

It's worse in Scotland with the corroboration requirement and the Not proven verdict. It's a free pass for rapists and sex offenders. They just need to sit there and say "No comment" and they walk free.

Let’s just look at how much evidence Nicola Brookes has put together over the years, carefully - meticulously -assembled, enough to make FaceBook cough, yet there are people who have not been held to account yet.

What it's telling us is, that to avoid prosecutions, CPS have made the bar for severity and evidence for certain crimes far too high and almost impossible to achieve. The crime has still been committed, but they want numbers down to save time/money. Message to crims? Carry on
