Oh my God Literally identical situations. We paid for mediation and counselling. Both times I was told that, unless he was willing to make the change and accept responsibility, we were all wasting our time. We've never bothered again because he is incapable of seeing how he is
. I had just had our second child who he refused to see but wanted to see our eldest. The mediator ( also ordered) said he was incapable of mediating too.The court ordered an indirect contact only order. He had forced me to court claiming I was stopping our eldest seeing him, when we would be waiting in the car for him to collect at agreed place. He would send texts saying ‘why are you stopping me seeing my son?’ 1/2

Cafcass got involved and his barrister ( I was having to represent myself ) said they wanted a full report by psychologist.They did and he never even arranged his interview with them.They concluded he wasn’t able to see through the child’s eyes and couldn’t be trusted to see him.

How old were your kids at the time when cafcass got involved? I had a terrible experience with Cafcass and so did my kids.
