Plus, as someone who's had several malicious FAKE NEWS stories written/published by national media then widely repeatedly shared! on social media. I know the serious damage wider harm & legal consequences fake news can/does do. So I'm all for Gov getting tough on this.

Not talking about a bit of 'inaccuracy'. To deliberately help/incite illegal hate campaign by writing serious fake news/claims that got twisted/shared/used to escalate threats/stalking & harm against me on social media, resulting in @IpsoNews investigation & trial is disgusting.

Facebook & Twitter refused to remove fake news content when repeatedly reported/flagged it up to them. When I proved to police, @IpsoNews, & press lawyers it was malicious sinister fake news about me all the links were permanently removed off the internet pronto! #regulation

Doesn't matter if its fake news about politicians, elections, terrorism, hate speech or individuals etc. None of it should be allowed on these platforms. The influence, power & control net giants have is massively out of control. Damian Collins/Gov need to keep challenging them.
