In that I’m meaning the behaviour of paedophiles but used with adults.. the grooming for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

Where does ordinary romancing & "chatting up" end and "grooming" begin???

I try my hardest when people seem to make light of what happened to us.I’ve sat with too many police who dismiss this saying ‘but is doesn’t look like normal rape’ no it doesn’t but it doesn’t mean it’s not real.I hate using the word rape but I could not give genuine consent.

Just as many who lie about or exaggerate all sorts of things on first or second dates!

Exaggerations of height or weight make no difference to ‘intent’ for the relationship. Saying you’re single when you’re married means you have no intent for a ‘relationship’ it’s about the benefits. The other person may well be ok if you tell them. So give them that choice.

So you're now saying an intent for marriage is the defining factor... Are you REALLY saying there should be no sex until people have a settled determination to marry??? Seems a little out of step with a modern, liberal society...

Peter to be honest, given your change of dismissal to asking questions, I’d given you benefit of doubt. But your line of enquiry here is pointless. Each individual case would be different. The complainant would report if they felt they had been abused...

The police would need to investigate to ascertain the depth of the deception. It would vary from case to case. Like murder and aggravated murder. A scale of offence beneath the deception. They don’t have to be married. This is a pattern of abuse!!!!!!

More incoherent nonsense I'm afraid. There's no such thing as "aggravated murder"... I'm afraid I don't think there's much point continuing this discussion as you clearly haven't got a meaningful answer to my question.

Maybe because you are posing a question that is unanswerable. Like how long is a piece of string. There is always a scale of offence. There are added parts of a case that may increase the severity of it. If you really believed in consent you wouldn’t even need to be asking.
