Miss M won £80,000 in damages from a man who had been cleared of raping her after a night out in Scotland.
Thought to be the first case of its kind, a sheriff in a civil action has ruled Mr Coxen raped the woman and demanded he pay damages.

Scotish law has a not proven outcome which is neither ‘not guilty or guilty’ from the ‘criminal’ justice system. She went through the civil route which has a lower standard of proof.

A better standard of proof IMO as based on trained experts who are (WE HOPE) better placed to understand evidence & law, juries have significant bias against women which they bring into the deliberation room.
