Southern Maldives in May 2017. Amazing, spent over 2h over 3 dives just hanging out with them. Also saw (very briefly) a whale shark https://www.whaleshark.org/encounters/encounter.jsp?number=d84b2a51-b04f-472c-8d30-d844fa036aee …, who came over and did a nice turn in front of us. Tropical diving's my guilty pleasure.
Ah nice :) I was in the Maldives this March, did 18 dives over 10 day and it was just absolutely out of this world... I think we had 2 dives at Manta Point and then I missed the whale shark dive with food poisoning!! I want to go to Mexico next, have you been?

No. I have friends who have; their tips are the cenote diving and snorkeling in shallow water with the whale sharks in season.
