Do you really think Heroin is being brought in, around, or under the wall. It’s flown in, transported in vehicles and other means. It is to expensive to be brought in on the backs of people seeking asylum. Marijuana is the backpacking drug of choice for these people.

Skipper, a wall would allow for resources to be redistributed for enhanced interdiction efforts. Right now, CBP is spread from California across Texas. A wall really isn't a bad idea.

The area covered by one drone in 24 hrs will do wonders but Trump won’t give them to Border Patrol to use because they would see that they work better than a wall....

Not sure where you heard BP doesn't have drones, but I spent a lot of years on that border. They have been using FLIR for years. And drones. One problem with drones is they get hacked by the cartels. Sorry to disagree, but a wall is the way to go. At least in spots.

I am not angry or anything but I am ex-military and if Trump was serious about stopping the migrations of people seeking asylum than he would use serious Military equipment that could not be seen let alone hacked. He is hiding a lot of facts about his wall...

Before I was on the border, I was Army. So thanks for your service. But Tom, look at the flag he gets every time you try to do anything with immigration. If you try to use military equipment to secure the border, can you get lambasted.

No, the idea has been running around Congress for quite awhile but Trump won’t touch it because it would show that its a better idea economically & catches more people which is exactly what he doesn’t want. If he did immigration correctly he wouldn’t be catching flack.

They already get approx. $450M a year for infrastructure including technology. Again, they have drones. They were trying to build face recognition technology into the drones not long ago. But not being a drone guy, I have no idea if they are military grade.

A wall will not stop the flow of heroine or any other drugs into the U.S. At best it would slow it down a little until the drug lords found other ways to get over, under, and around it. ps, we already have a big home-grown drug problem created by big pharmaceutical companies

That’s pure, unadulterated BS. The opioid epidemic is DIRECTLY due to big Pharma flooding our communities with millions of prescription pills. And the Bill being touted by @senatemajldr doesn’t help at all . . .
