It DOES say that you have to say whether your content is for kids But being animated is only an example of what it COULD be So it should be fine

This applies to videos explicitly made for kids–it’s less about the general category (animation), & more about the individual video's target audience. This is why you'll self designate! Thank you. The audience for our Anime-based channel is over 91% 18+ and I'm sure many others are in the same position so we wouldn't want to be unfairly affected by this.
