Stacey spotted this of all things in Zara of all places! They kinda messed up the Saturn logo on the back lol. They also had a Mega Drive one but they were quite expensive so I only went with this one for now.

I've had to render this video out three times now, each time taking around 2 and a half hours because of one frame janky editing snafus and a content ID'ed song. Still hoping to premiere it tonight maybe around 9pm.

Not used to films I actually really like sweeping the Oscars. I honestly thought the judges would look at EEATO and be like "that's too silly/weird". Probably the most bonkers movie to win so many.

hard to imagine a Smallfilms finding an audience now, when anything you do competes for attention with everything, but I love this sincere, self-taught lo-fi stuff. it's so cool how these artists developed deeply personal, idiosyncratic methods to make mass-audience kids' TV.

This is a long ass topic that is hard to sum up in tweets without missing vital details but it's fascinating, I love that cgi animation is getting more experimental in the mainstream and the line between all techniques is starting to blur.

Also a lot of this trend is based on the attempt to replicate the hand crafted charm of stop motion, which the Lego movie popularized. But pocoyo is definitely the first time I noticed a cgi animation have that stop motion feel.

This is partially a joke btw, Spiderverse still used animating at slower rates the best by making it an actual subtle part of miles growth as a spiderman. There is definitely a trend of animation using lower frame rates but kinda missing the point, just looking choppy throughout

Keep pausing the Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem trailer to look at the textures because OOF, they nice.
The turtles themselves kind resemble Aardman stop motion characters to me, not sure why, but I dig it.
