It is still unclear exactly what has occured in this case but it would appear that there are various breaches of legislation, including the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, which we will be supporting authorities to pursue. [4]pic.twitter.com/QxC4ll72R3

Upon hearing about this situation on Friday, we flew vet teams in 2assist with assessing & treating injured & starving animals. We understand that specialists from the Koala Hospital Port Macquarie are en route to assist vet teams and carers with the care of surviving koalas. [6]

Habitat loss through land clearing for livestock production and paper remains the key threat to these vulnerable animals. Continued threat of logging and bushfires not only poses a tremendous challenge to their welfare, but to their existence as a species. [9]

It's not the big 'hoo-haa' because he doesn't give a damn about wildlife! Loud and clear. This is an act of animal cruelty on multiple counts . One koala treated inhumanely warrants a crime. He's a cruel, animal abuser.
