    We rescued Jett in 2016, after she was left alone, tied to a flagpole on a hot day. Despite being mistreated by humans, Jett was immediately friendly and trusting of people. Ever since she arrived, she’s been warming hearts with her sassy, but loving personality.

    Luckily, we were able to intervene and save her life. At Animal Place, Verna is valued for the individual she is. We believe all animals deserve a life of love and safety.

    Like many goats used for weed abatement, Verna was viewed as a machine, rather than an individual. The property owners refused to seek medical treatment when Verna had been in labor for hours. Their solution was to pay somebody to shoot her.
