I am surprised too and saddened. But there is no way of verifying if the people voting as women are actually women

The fact that the no/yes ratio is higher among women than the general population, implausible in my book, seems to reveal a correlation between responses made in bad faith and certain preferences...

If someone runs a high quality poll, we could perhaps tell this story in the future. But, yeah, there is no barrier whatsoever to perverting the result.

I voted yes as a man, but honestly wouldn't be able to answer the "is necessary" part of the question and in my mind substituted "would you prefer" or maybe something like "would you be willing to since you think it might help and is unlikely to cause harm"
