As you can see, I decided to post it. I read it Friday night, was horrified at the start, and choked up at the end...

My reticence was that I know I'm only "supposed to" talk about NLP/ML here, and can get away with straying only so far...

The problem is that this violence occurred in a university setting between a student and a former student. And I work at a university...

The most important thing I produce is students. And the victim could have been one. Or another might be sitting at a desk across from me...

The outcome here is unconscionable to me...
