I have known @pmddomingos for ages and respect him as a researcher. He is a contrarian who compulsively questions the orthodoxy, and in doing so quite often sheds unexpected light on longstanding problems. Every conversation I have had with him has been unfailingly stimulating.

Some people want to only restrict their interaction to research. It’s good to respect their choices.

It's a privileged position to be able to do so. For many others, there is no possibility to avoid the real-world implications of the non-research views.
